Ground Transportation

Road transportation has advantages, including the ability to provide direct transport between origin and destination points, being faster than other types of transportation, and relatively cost-effective, especially for short-distance transport. In road transportation operated by the private sector, the efficient performance of the hierarchy and chain of command appears to be an additional advantage. On the other hand, road transportation has disadvantages due to the cost per unit of transport, whether passenger/kilometer or ton/kilometer, the amount of energy consumed, the type of energy used, the resulting environmental pollution, the high risk of accidents, and its relatively sensitive and fragile structure, particularly in the face of changes in international political and economic conditions. Additionally, this sector faces some internal challenges, particularly intense competition and rising costs due to increasing oil prices.
